Luxor Tour by plane from Cairo

  • After having your breakfast in Cairo hotel, our Rep will accompany you with a private air-conditioned car to International Cairo Airport to catch your flight to Luxor.
  • When you arrive at Luxor Airport, you will find your tour guide waiting for you to start your tour in Luxor.
  • Start with the west bank of Luxor city, where you will discover the ,Valley of the Kings, Once called the Great Necropolis of Millions of Years of Pharaoh, or the Place of Truth, the Valley of the Kings (Wadi Biban al-Muluk) has 63 magnificent royal tombs from the New Kingdom period (1550–1069 BC), all very different from each other.

The West Bank had been the site of royal burials from the First Intermediate Period (2181–2055 BC) onwards. At least three 11th-dynasty rulers built their tombs near the modern village of Taref, northeast of the Valley of the Kings. The 18th-dynasty pharaohs, however, chose the isolated valley dominated by the pyramid shaped mountain peak of al-Qurn (The Horn). The secluded site enclosed by steep cliffs was easy to guard and, when seen from the Theban plain, appears to be the site of the setting sun, associated with the afterlife by ancient Egyptians.
  • Move to the mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari. Queen Hatshepsut is considered the most powerful woman who ruled Egypt. The temple consists of three levels connected with a ramp. These three levels depict important events during the reign of Hatshepsut as the divine birth and the commercial expedition to Punt Land.
  • On your way in the west bank of Luxor city, you will pass on the mortuary temple of King Amenhotep III and witness its colossus statues, the colossi of Memnon. Your tour guide will tell you about the legend of linking between these statues and the Greek mythical hero, Memnon.
  • After having your lunch meal, cross the Nile River to explore the east bank of Luxor. Explore the route of the Poet feast of ancient Egypt. Start your tour with Karnak Complex, The Karnak temple complex at Luxor developed over more than 1,000 years, principally between the Twelfth and Twentieth Dynasties.

It was, at its peak, the largest and most important religious complex in ancient Egypt. The most significant structure, and the largest religious building ever built, is the Temple of Amun-Ra, considered to be where that god lived on earth with his wife, Mut, and son, Khonsu, who also have temples at the site.

The Temple of Amun-Ra is particularly famous for the vast Hypostyle Hall constructed during the reign of Seti I. After Memphis became the new dynastic capital, many of Luxor’s temples declined in importance. In later centuries, Ptolemaic rulers and Coptic Christians altered parts of the complex for their own uses.
  • Then walk through the avenue of Sphinx, where the parade of the triad of Thebes passed from Karnak Complex to Luxor temple. This road is either headed with a human head or rams head. It is thought that the construction of the avenue started during the New Kingdom and was completed in the 30th Dynasty during the rule of King Nectanebo I.
  • Finally, your tour guide will accompany you to Luxor Airport to take your plane to back to your hotel in Cairo. When you reach Cairo Airport, our team will transfer you to your hotel in Cairo. Overnight in Cairo.
