- after Breakfast at the hotel restaurant, Queen of Egypt’ Tour Guide will meet you at the lobby of the hotel to accompany you on an awe-inspiring tour to the Giza Pyramids With Camel Ride as you will visit the Great Pyramid of Cheops, There is only one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World still standing today and it is the Pyramid of Khufu at Giza, Egypt’s Great Pyramid. His son, Khafre, and another pharaoh, Menkaure, are credited with building the other two pyramids at Giza, but neither of them is as large or impressive as Khufu’s Great Pyramid, completed around 2560 BC and originally standing 481 feet tall (455 feet today due to the removal of its outer casing and capstone).
- also you can see Chephren Pyramid The second largest pyramid at Giza and in Egypt was built for Khafre, the third pharaoh of the 4th Dynasty during the Old Kingdom Period of Ancient Egypt around 2540 BC. Khafre, also known in history by the Greek name Chephren, was the son of Khufu, who is the Great Pyramid and the grandson of Sneferu, another great builder of Ancient Egypt.
Khafre lived during the ‘golden age’ of the Old Kingdom. The pyramids built by him and his family were the greatest in the history of Egypt and some of the greatest achievements in human history.- The you Will See Pyramid of MenkaureThe third and smallest of the great pyramids at Giza is credited to the pharaoh Menkaure (Mycerinus in Greek). It is thought to have been completed at the end of the 26th century BC. Menkaure, like the builders of the other pyramids at Giza, ruled Egypt during the 4th Dynasty during the Old Kingdom Period of Ancient Egypt.
The pyramid had an original height of 215 feet, but stands at 204 feet today as a result of the removal of its outer casing and capstone. The lower section of the pyramid was encased in pink granite and the upper portions in white Tura limestone, as with the other pyramids at Giza and in other pyramid fields.- The Great SphinxThe Great Sphinx is among the world’s largest sculptures, measuring some 240 feet (73 metres) long and 66 feet (20 metres) high. It features a lion’s body and a human head adorned with a royal headdress. The statue was carved from a single piece of limestone, and pigment residue suggests that the entire Great Sphinx was painted.
