Giza Pyramids

  • after Breakfast at the hotel restaurant, Queen of Egypt’ Tour Guide will meet you at the lobby of the hotel to accompany you on an awe-inspiring tour to the Giza Pyramids Saqqara as you will visit the Great Pyramid of Cheops, There is only one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World still standing today and it is the Pyramid of Khufu at Giza, Egypt’s Great Pyramid. His son, Khafre, and another pharaoh, Menkaure, are credited with building the other two pyramids at Giza, but neither of them is as large or impressive as Khufu’s Great Pyramid, completed around 2560 BC and originally standing 481 feet tall (455 feet today due to the removal of its outer casing and capstone).
  • also you can see Chephren Pyramid The second largest pyramid at Giza and in Egypt was built for Khafre, the third pharaoh of the 4th Dynasty during the Old Kingdom Period of Ancient Egypt around 2540 BC. Khafre, also known in history by the Greek name Chephren, was the son of Khufu, who is the Great Pyramid and the grandson of Sneferu, another great builder of Ancient Egypt.
Khafre lived during the ‘golden age’ of the Old Kingdom. The pyramids built by him and his family were the greatest in the history of Egypt and some of the greatest achievements in human history.
  • The you Will See Pyramid of MenkaureThe third and smallest of the great pyramids at Giza is credited to the pharaoh Menkaure (Mycerinus in Greek). It is thought to have been completed at the end of the 26th century BC. Menkaure, like the builders of the other pyramids at Giza, ruled Egypt during the 4th Dynasty during the Old Kingdom Period of Ancient Egypt.
The pyramid had an original height of 215 feet, but stands at 204 feet today as a result of the removal of its outer casing and capstone. The lower section of the pyramid was encased in pink granite and the upper portions in white Tura limestone, as with the other pyramids at Giza and in other pyramid fields.
  • The Great SphinxThe Great Sphinx is among the world’s largest sculptures, measuring some 240 feet (73 metres) long and 66 feet (20 metres) high. It features a lion’s body and a human head adorned with a royal headdress. The statue was carved from a single piece of limestone, and pigment residue suggests that the entire Great Sphinx was painted.
  • then Lunch will be served at a Local restaurant.

The Egyptian Museum

  • After that drive to Cairo, The Egyptian Museum Enshrined in the bustling heart of Cairo, Egypt, the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities, colloquially known as the Egyptian Museum or the Museum of Cairo, serves as a grand sanctuary of ancient Egyptian treasures. With a staggering collection of 120,000 items, this magnificent museum is a testament to Egypt's extraordinary antiquity, offering an unparalleled view into the heart of an era that continues to fascinate the world.
  • The museum, built in 1901 by the Italian firm Garozzo-Zaffarani, was designed by French architect Marcel Dourgnon. This grand edifice, one of the largest museums in the region, stands as an enduring symbol of Egypt's commitment to preserving its rich cultural heritage.
  • The museum unfolds over two main floors, each brimming with historical wonders. The ground floor hosts a vast collection of papyri and coins from the Ancient world. The papyri, many of which are small fragments due to the ravages of time, showcase a diverse array of languages including Greek, Latin, Arabic, and ancient Egyptian. The coin collection, comprised of gold, silver, and bronze pieces, not only covers Egyptian, but also Greek, Roman, and Islamic history, providing invaluable insights into the trade practices of Ancient Egypt.
  • This floor also houses artifacts from the New Kingdom, the era between 1550 and 1069 BC. These larger artifacts, including statues, tables, and sarcophagi, are showcased across 42 rooms, offering an immersive glimpse into this pivotal period of Egyptian history.
  • The first floor is dedicated to the last two dynasties of Egypt, exhibiting items from the tombs of Pharaohs like Thutmosis III, Thutmosis IV, Amenophis II, Hatshepsut, and courtier Maiherpri. It also houses an array of artifacts from the Valley of the Kings, most notably from the intact tombs of Tutankhamun and Psusennes I. Two specially dedicated rooms house a collection of royal mummies from the New Kingdom, allowing visitors to come face-to-face with the pharaohs of the past.
  • after that, transfer you back to your hotel.
